FIRST RATE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT VACANCY RATE DROPS

First Rate Property Management holds a weekly staff meeting every Wednesday from 9-11am. In these meetings we discuss all properties that are on notice to become vacant as well as those that are vacant. We review what we call “traffic” on each property which includes call volume, web site clicks, showings, and applications. Since we discuss vacancy rates at these meetings and now that many of you are on automatic feeds, I thought it would be good to post our vacancy rate each week. Today the vacancy rate was 4.23%, which is the lowest it has been for months. However, since I will be posting these rates weekly now, you’ll see the cycle we go through. Typically vacancy is the highest at the beginning of the month and then improves as we proceed through the month. So yes, typically our best occupancy rate is best the last week of each month. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
